Chung Ting Fai currently practices as an Advocate and Solicitor and an Arbitrator.
Ting Fai was educated at National University of Singapore. After completing his legal education, he was called to the Singapore Bar in 1990.He founded the firm of Messrs Chung Tan & Partners. Ting Fai has over 16 years of experience in the legal arena. His areas of practice have included banking, finance, company, real property, intellectual property, tort, criminal, probate and family law as well as general commercial practice as an advocate and solicitor. More than several cases undertaken by him are reported in the Singapore Law Reports.
He was first appointed Mediator of Shantung Mediation and Arbitration Centre in 2000 .He was appointed Arbitrator of Qinzhou Arbitration Centre, Guangsi Autonomous Region in 2005 and has been involved in several arbitrations and mediations involving Singapore and Greater China. |

In 2007 Ting Fai accepted a scholarship offered by the China Law Society to study Chinese law at the China ASEAN Legal Training Base at the Guangxi University of Nationalities, Nanning Guangxi Autonomous Region and became the Inaugural Batch of Granduants from the Legal Training Course. He has accepted the post of an Adjunct Professor at the Guangxi University of Nationalities in fall of 2008.
Upon his return he returned to private practice and founded Messrs Chung Ting Fai & Co.
Apart from his legal work, Ting Fai is frequently invited to speak at business forums and in international seminars.
He has been invited to address the Shanghai Intellectual Property Source Center in April 2005 on Intellectual Property Protection in Asean. |

| Besides his work, Ting Fai is also active in community and social services. He is a recipient of the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2000 for services to the Hong Kong community in Singapore. He was appointed as Assistant Registrar of Marriage in 2006 and currently heads the Hong Kong Community in Singapore as President of Kowloon Club. He is also the Hon. General Secretary of the Singapore China Friendship Association. |
